Briefing: The Impact of Federal Charter School Policy on Education Freedom

Recently the Biden administration announced its final version of its new Charter Schools Program grant competition criteria and regulations. While some changes were made, we believe the final rule will continue to limit important educational options for families who want to decide what public school is best for their children.

The National Coalition for Public School Options, a national parent advocacy organization focused on ensuring every child has access to the best quality education, will be hosting a breakfast briefing event to review policies impacting charter schools and the options available to families.

In this conversation, charter school policy experts and parents will discuss how the final rule differs from the proposed version and the House appropriations language as it relates to charter schools.
