Protect Online Public Learning in Kentucky!

We Trust Kentucky Parents: Protect KYVA!

Kentucky Parents for School Options (PSO-KY) is an advocacy group that supports families and their pursuit of equitable access to a high-quality public online education. We defend the family’s right to choose a learning environment that is safe, enriched, and suits the needs of each individual child.

We empower families with tools, valid information, networking, and support to exercise their right to choose what's best for their child.

What's Happening

On December 4, the Kentucky State Board of Education voted unanimously to approve a proposed regulation amendment to cap public online schools at 10% of a district's in-person enrollment. For the Kentucky Virtual Academy, this would cap the school at only 26 students, leaving nearly 3,000 students without a school.

This is completely unfair to families that have chosen KYVA for their child's education.

The proposal will now go before the Kentucky Legislature's administrative review committee in January. Time is of the essence to save your child's school!

We Need Your Help!

PSO-KY is organizing parents of KYVA students to speak out in support of their child's education. How you get involved is entirely up to you. We need parents who are willing to call or write their lawmakers, meet in person with their elected officials, write letters to the editor in their local newspaper, and share their story with the media.

Your child's educational future is simply too important to sit on the sidelines, fill out the form below to get involved!
