Charter School Law Upheld After West Virginia Supreme Court Remand

On behalf of parents across the Mountain State, we want to thank the West Virginia Supreme Court of Appeals for their decision today. While the decision may not put the issue completely to rest, we are pleased that the court recognized that in their zeal to strip parents of education choice, charter school opponents did not even sue the right parties when they decided to sue Governor Justice.

Today the National Coalition for Public School Options (PSO) filed an amicus brief urging the West Virginia Supreme Court of Appeals to allow the state’s new charter school law to go into effect as intended by the state legislature.

West Virginia Supreme Court Opens School Doors to West Virginia Students Blocked by Injunction Order

The National Coalition for Public School Options (PSO) praised a decision by the West Virginia Supreme Court of Appeals today to suspend a temporary injunction against the establishment of charter schools in the state.
Supporting and defending parents’ right to choose an education that suits their child’s needs.
